Competed in Nine races before the 1st World War. Each time was first bird to Gurnays Loft. His Sire was a son of "Le Gros" his Dam was the Old Blue Hen ("Vielle Blue"). Bon Bleu was mated to a Dark Cheq Hen named "Record", This pairing was regarded at the time as " The Worlds Greatest Stock Pair ", one of their offspring was "Bronze Favorite", 1st Grand National winning by 30 minutes.
